A Forgotten Craft
From the early days of trains many people have had a fascination with the fabled iron horses. To fill the desire to own one or operate one many boys and girls and even adults would make their own trains to fulfill their dreams.
With the increase in technology and the adaptation of industrial manufacturing, many people began to purchase their trains prebuilt from molds in a factory. This prove innovative and solved the issue of having to build your own trains but people lost the touch of building their own trains. In the blog post image there is a picture of a railroad car that has openings in the side. This car was hand built for me by Joseph.
It amazes me how a 21-year-old kid has acquired such craftsman skills to build such a spectacular piece out of wood that resembles the real deal.
